Hannah Malvin is the Founder and Director of Pride Outside, a network for LGBTQ environmental professionals and a hub for LGBTQ inclusion efforts with Congress, federal land management agencies, conservation nonprofits, and the outdoor industry. Pride Outside has hosted over 100 hikes, outdoor skills classes, LGBTQ history walking tours, and community events, and cohosts the LGBTQ Outdoor Summit with Out There Adventures, bringing together environmental professionals to boost LGBTQ representation and inclusion outdoors.
Hannah is a coach and consultant focused on making work more equitable, effective, and enjoyable. She is Project Manager for The Bridge Project, an equitable hiring pathway for the environmental sector focused on people of color and underrepresented communities. She covered recreation policy at The Wilderness Society then became Senior Representative for Partnerships, leading a strategic planning initiative to root relationships in equity by designing new systems of staff learning, knowledge sharing, and coordination. She was a Legislative Assistant for her hometown Congressman, Rep. Mike Doyle, covering health policy and leading the Congressional Autism Caucus. She studied Political Science at Brown University and fell in love with the outdoors leading canoe trips over college summers in Canada. Hannah is Vice Chair of the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards Board of Directors. She’s hooked on the outdoors and passionate about helping others discover, explore, and enjoy wild places.
